Our venue has been inspired by a desire to create a difference in this world. We are dedicated to charitable works and donate 50% of all profits back to those places that need it the most.
At present we are focused on rewilding the Daintree rainforest and giving custodianship of the land back to the indigenous people

The Daintree is the world's oldest rainforest. It is unique and beyond comparison. Surely we all agree that the remaining rainforests in this world should be protected. As should the native ingredients and animals that inhabit these lands. Protecting what we have now and reforesting what we have already destroyed is something we believe is a moral imperative for the future of Australia and the next generation.
Many don't realise that over the last ten years that portions of the Daintree rainforest have been subdivided and sold off. Over 200 Lots of our rainforest have been made up for grabs and even more could go to the chopping block if no one speaks up.
What's worse is that even if the Kuku Yalangi people wanted their own land back they would have to compete with the private interests of land developers and foriegn investors for that basic right.
This land could be returned to the traditional owners and repaired back to it's original condition. We would act ensure that incremental land development is stopped and work to repair the damage from settlement and over-farming on these lands.
Additionally, further reforestation would better protect native creatures, give land for indigenous communities and even add more pure water to local streams for everyone.
To ensure that we can actually make a difference The Keel & Daintree Sydney are donating half of all profits directly towards the HalfCut NFP charity. Through our a 'save and seed' initiative we aim to donate the equivalent of one million trees in the rainforest.
These funds will purchase the land back, reseed destroyed rainforest areas, and give custodianship back to the indigenous people of the region. Track how we are going below.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit us for a drink or some banter whenever we're open.
